Arakelyan Armenian School

The mission of St. Garabed Armenian School is to teach our students to love, appreciate, and embrace the Armenian Language, its Culture, and History. We will inspire them to learn so far as possible, to speak, read, write, and pray the Armenian Language in a nurturing and loving Christian atmosphere. We use the best teaching methods, materials, and techniques to accomplish these goals.

Եկեղեցու հայկական եւ կիրակնօրեայ դպրոցների նպատակն է դաստիարակել մեր ապագայ սերունդը՝ նրանց ներշնչելով ազգային ու կրօնական արժէքներ, պահպանելով մեր մշակութային ժառանգութիւնը եւ սերմանելով հայոց լեզուի, պատմութեան ու հաւատքի գիտելիքները: Այս դպրոցը մեծ դեր ունի մեր երեխաների հայրենասիրութեան, բարոյականութեան ու քրիստոնէական արժէքների ամրապնդման գործում: Եկեղեցին, հայկական եւ կիրակնօրեայ դպրոցները միասին կազմում են մեր Հոգեւոր Հայրենիքի անկիւնաքարերը:

Եկեղեցին, որպէս հոգեւոր առաջնորդ եւ հայ ժողովրդի հոգեւոր տուն, կրթում է մեր սերունդներին քրիստոնէական արժէքների ու հաւատքի մէջ՝ սերմանելով Աստծու հանդէպ սէր եւ նուիրում: Դպրոցները, իրենց հերթին, հանդիսանում է այն հարթակը, որտեղ այդ հոգեւոր արժէքները խնամքով պահպանւում են եւ փոխանցւում են ապագայ լոյս սերունդներին: Այսպիսով, եկեղեցին եւ հայկական դպրոցը միահիւսուած են՝ ստեղծելով մի ամբողջական այն Հոգեւոր Հայրենիքը, որտեղ մեր ապագայի սերունդը դաստիարակւում է լինել ոչ միայն կրթեալ, այլեւ հոգեպէս հարուստ, պատրաստ ծառայելու հայ ժողովրդին եւ եկեղեցուն:

Դպրոցը կարեւոր կենտրոն է, որտեղ մեր սերունդը ոչ միայն կրթւում է, այլեւ ձեւաւորւում որպէս հայ ժողովրդի ոգու կրողներ: Մեր նպատակը միայն գիտելիքի փոխանցումը չէ, այլեւ հոգեւոր դաստիարակութիւնը, որը հիմք է հանդիսանում հայեցի ինքնութեան ձեւաւորման համար: Այստեղ երեխաները ծանոթանում են հայոց լեզուին ու գրականութեանը, հայ եկեղեցու պատմութեանը եւ աւանդոյթներին, սովորում են գնահատել իրենց արմատները: Դպրոցը նպաստում է նրանց անձնական ու հասարակական արժէքների զարգացմանը, պատրաստում է նրանց լինել բարոյապէս ուժեղ, եւ հոգեպէս հարուստ անհատներ, որոնք պատրաստ են ծառայելու իրենց ժողովրդին ու եկեղեցուն: Հայկական դպրոցում փոխանցուող կրթութիւնը ոչ միայն ուսումնական գիտելիքների տրամադրում է, այլեւ մեր սուրբ ավանդույթների, հաւատքի ու մշակոյթի խորքային ըմբռնում է:

   The purpose of the Church’s Armenian and Sunday schools is to nurture our future generations by instilling national and religious values, preserving our cultural heritage, and imparting knowledge of the Armenian language, history, and faith. These schools play a significant role in reinforcing our children’s patriotism, morality, and Christian values. Together, the Church and Armenian School form the cornerstones of our Spiritual Homeland.

    The Church, as a spiritual leader and the spiritual home of the Armenian people, educates our generations in Christian values and faith, fostering love and devotion towards God. The schools, in turn, provide the platform where these spiritual values are carefully preserved and passed on to future generations. Thus, the Church and Armenian School are intertwined, creating a unified Spiritual Homeland where our future generations are educated to be not only knowledgeable but also spiritually enriched, ready to serve the Armenian people and the church.

   The school is a vital center where our children are not only educated but also shaped as bearers of the Armenian spirit. Our goal is not merely to impart knowledge but also to provide spiritual education, which is the foundation for forming Armenian identity. Here, children become acquainted with the Armenian language and literature, as well as the history and traditions of the Armenian Church, and learn to appreciate their roots. The school contributes to their development of personal and societal values, preparing them to be morally strong and spiritually rich individuals ready to serve their people and the Church. The education provided in Armenian Schools offers not just academic knowledge but a deep understanding of our sacred traditions, faith, and culture.
